Orders received by 4 p.m. Friday can be shipped as early as Friday of the following week.
Exceptions: Plank which exceed 48" in width often require several extra days.
Perfect Plank Co. does not maintain accounts. Most customers send a check at the time of
order or use a major credit card.
Orders are shipped freight collect from Oroville, California. Orders weighing more than 70
pounds are shipped via XPO Logistics. Orders weighing less than 70 pounds (within size
limits) can be shipped UPS. (Other limitations apply)
Upon receipt of order, it is essential that you inspect the freight for damage prior to signing
the delivery receipt! (DOES NOT APPLY TO UPS SHIPMENTS) Unsatisfactory merchandise
can be returned after receiving verbal approval from the Order Desk. Replacement will be
made for defects which are the result of manufacturing error. However, the Perfect Plank
Co. cannot accept responsibility for those defects which are inherent in the species of
wood. In all cases, the liability of the Perfect Plank Co. shall be limited to the sale price of
the item and shall not be extended to include the value of any labor or materials used in
finishing or installing the product.
Upon receipt, it is essential that you finish the ends and BOTH sides of the plank immediately in
order to avoid cupping or warping. All wood products are sensitive to changes in
temperature and humidity, and care must be taken to prevent exposure to environmental
extremes.

Oak is a highly revered species that is used primarily for furniture and table tops, but which also
can be used for kitchen counters and islands*. It is prized for its hardness and durability. Perfect Plank
is produced from White Oak originating in New York and Pennsylvania.
Typical production time for Non-Finger-jointed White Oak Butcher Blocks can be between 1-2
weeks. Timeframe for larger custom orders can be as long as 6-8 weeks.
As with other species, Perfect Plank Oak is manufactured by sorting for full length strips of the
desired length. The strips are then glued face-to-face with water resistant polyvinyl glue to create the
finished plank.
One face is of furniture quality, sanded with 120 grit paper. Reverse side may contain defects and
is sanded with 80 grit paper. Any natural or manufactured defects are patched and sanded clean to yield
a 1-side-good product. Bottom is not patched and may contain small natural/manufacturer defects.
*Oak is not recommended for food prep surfaces, due to its porous grain structure. Customers with Oak
countertops or islands should consider using a tighter grain cutting board for their food prep.

considered a staple in home furniture, this species is regaining its
popularity in homes across the country. Crafted from White Oak
sustainably grown on the East Coast, this edge-grain butcher block
compliments both ageless classics and newer modern designs.
How It’s Made
Each block is built using a selective sorting process, where full length pieces of Clear White
Oak wood are cut to custom-length strips. These strips--ranging from ¾” to 1 3/8” wide--are
glued face to face with water-resistant polyvinyl glue, forming a smooth and sturdy surface.
